Trained Nurses Association Celebrates International Nurses Week

Chandigarh 17th May:- Trained Nurses Association of India, UT branch, Chandigarh is celebrating International Nurses Week from 12-18 May 2016 under the guidance of President Dr. Sandhya Ghai and Secretary Dr. Avinash Kaur Rana. In continuation to the week-long activities planned for the celebration of the week, Health Education on different topics were organized for patients and their attendants in different areas of PGI, Chandigarh i.e. AKU, APC, Labour Room, Gynae OPD, New OPD, ACC, Nuclear Medicine and in the field area Dadu Majra Colony on May 14, 2016. A Walkathon on the theme Healthy Life Style was organized at Lake on May 15, 2016. Nurses from PGI, GMCH Sector 32 and GMSH Sector 16 and students of NINE participated in the Walkathon. The Walkathon was flagged off by Dr Satwant Baltej ex-faculty of NINE, PGI, Chandigarh. Poster making competition on the theme Role of Nurse in Improving health systems resilience on 16th of May 2016. Tomorrow i.e. on May 17, 2016, role plays on different topics of social issues will be organized by PGIMER, GMCH Sector 32 and GMSH Sector 16, Chandigarh. The program will conclude by Valedictory Function on May 18, 2016.
