Senior Deputy Mayor starts Sewerage Lines Works at Dadu Majra Colony

Chandigarh 18th May:- Davesh Moudgil, Senior Deputy Mayor, Hardeep Singh, Deputy Mayor, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has started work of sewerage lines and water lines outside houses from 410 to 1143 in Dadu Majra colony, here today in presence of Sat Parkash Aggarwal, area councilor and other prominent persons of the area.

The work of shifting sewer and water lines outside the houses and installation of pavers has been started today at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.35 crores. Earlier same work was done from house No. 1 to 409 at an approximate cost of Rs. 2 crore and remaining area from house No. 1144 onwards will be completed by the end of this financial year at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.25 crores.

While speaking on the occasion, area councilor Sat Parkash Aggarwal said that this was the big problem faced by the residents of Dadu Majra colony since last 20 years and with this work problem of mixing of dirty water with drinking water inside the households will be solved permanently. He said that the water pressure in the entire Dadu Majra Colony will be increased as old lines of water supply and sewerage were of less capacity.
