Chandigarh 11th February:- Government of Himachal Pradesh in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is jointly setting up a State Centric Stall in Make in India Centre, Mumbai as part of the Make in India week from February 13. The Arcade would showcase innovation, design and sustainability driving state's manufacturing revolution.
A delegation led by Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, will be in Mumbai to woo investors to capitalize in Himachal. Various meetings are also lined up for the delegation led by the Minister to discuss potential investment proposals for the state. The Government of Himachal Pradesh is delighted to see the extraordinary response of the stakeholders to invest in the state.
The decisions of decreasing the electricity duty on MSMEs and decreasing the permission time through single-window clearance for setting up of new industries from 90 to 45 days. Strengthening the single-window clearance agency and amendments in labour laws to enable sustainable industrial growth in the state is the milestone decisions which will go a long way in make Himachal Pradesh an attractive industrial destination in the country.
Rajiv Aggarwal, Chairman, CII Himachal Pradesh State Council, said that Himachal Pradesh, despite of its tough topography, has covered a long journey on the path of development and has emerged as a role model of development in the country and we hope that participation in make in India week will only enhance it. He added that CII, on its part has been closely working with the Government of Himachal Pradesh on a host of issues pertaining to not only the development of industry in the state, but also for Himachal Pradesh to emerge as an ideal state and society in India's growth story.
