Chandigarh 14th January:- Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj, Principal, HMV, Jalandhar shared with the staff members of MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh her experience of the NAAC Re- accreditation process at her institution, during which HMV was re- accredited A Grade with highest score (3.83out of 4) in India and was also declared as the Role Model College by NAAC Peer Team, to provide an impetus to the ongoing preparations for hosting the NAAC Peer Team at MCM. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj gave an extensive overview of the process and impressed upon the audience that the NAAC re-accreditation has immense strategic importance for the institutions of higher learning.
The address was attended by teaching and office staff and received an overwhelming response. It was followed by an interactive session. The staff members asked numerous questions and gained an insight into the technicalities of the process which is a parameter for assessment and improvement of quality in higher education. Addressing the queries, Dr. Bhardwaj apprised the staff on the initiatives and strategies for quality sustenance in higher education that are imperative to quality performance in the NAAC Re- accreditation Process.
The Principal of MCM, Dr. Nisha Bhargava, expressed her gratitude and thanked Dr. Rekha.K. Bhardwaj for her insightful address. She said that MCM will continue to make progressive strides in the field of education and that she deems NAAC as another opportunity to better the holistic training methodology at MCM.
