Chandigarh 21st July:- Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran conferred degrees to 324 MBA, 271 BBA,196 MCA,248 BCA, 336 B.Ed, 209 Pharmacy, 126 Biotech 1081 English at the 11th Annual Convocation at its campus . Chief Guest on the occasion was Honourable Governor of Haryana & Punjab Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki. Mohanbir Singh Sidhu Addition Director Technical education & Industrial training Govt of Punjab,M.P Singh Principal secretary Govt of Punjab, Rakesh kumar Verma Vice chancellor PTU cum secretary Department of governance reforms were Guest of honour at this occasion.
The function began with Saraswati Vandana by students of institute, which was followed by lighting of lamp by the eminent guest and offered prayers to Devi Saraswati. Delivering the convocation address, Chief Guest Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki blessed the students for getting degrees wherein they can dream of having successful careers ahead. He further added that India is emerging as super power and its duty of future citizens to carry the Nation forward by measuring up to the increased competition. According to him it was important for one to have up to-date and multidisciplinary education. He further added that future of our country is in the right hands, as these budding engineers will do all the right things to take our country to the fast forward track to progress. He urged them to be innovative and come out with cutting edge solutions to the multitude of problems and opportunities
CGC Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu & CGC President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal Said that welcomed the chief Guest and other dignitaries and congratulated the students having their degrees and advised students to work hard for achieving their set goals in life. They further added that Education is a continual process that keeps on enriching the lives of everyone around. In the real sense of the term, for an educated person, classroom interaction is must.
