Panchayats Minister Punjab, Inaugurates branch and ATM of Punjab National Bank

Mohali 16^th January:- Rural Development and Panchayats Minister Punjab, Sikander Singh Maluka inaugurated branch and ATM of Punjab National Bank, Sector-82  at Chilla village which is also an unbanked village. He appreciated the role in the development of the state specially the rural development through its vide network of branches spread in every nook and corner of the state. He also appreciated for PNB on account of lead bank responsibility in the state by opening the branch at village Chilla.S.S. Maluka said that the customers of Sector 82, the other developing area surrounding . He was happy to quote that the bank has opened the branch at gateway of airport to Punjab.

Sikander Singh Maluka also inaugurated another Branch & ATM of Punjab National Bank at Kansal village and showed his pleasure that PNB has taken the care of banking needs of kansal village residents since it was an unbanked village. He also inaugurated the ATM at village Kansal. In a small function organized by the bank, he remembered Lala Lajpat Rai founder of Punjab National Bank i.e. Indian Bank at Lahore.

Harpal Singh FGM Punjab said that PNB has prominent presence in the state of Punjab having network of 749 offices and 835 ATMs . In Punjab state,  Total Business of Punjab as on 30.09.2014 was Rs. 434206 crores out of which  PNB share is Rs. 78810 crores (18.15% of the total business of Punjab). There are 30 branches in Mohali having total business of 2966 crores. Punjab state is being catered by 5579 branches of all banks and the Business per Branch in Punjab state is 77.83 crores whereas Punjab national bank is having business of 114.05 crores per Branch and Mohali

Harpal Singh FGM & Convenor SLBC Punjab inaugurated BO Sec 71 which is opened keeping in view the banking needs and affection of residents of Sector 71. The branch is situated opposite to IVY hospital. Sh. Singh also inaugurated the ATM . After that S. Harpal Singh inaugurated branch at Sector- 91 which is unbanked area. It will be providing banking services to Sector 91, Village Lakhnour, BSF Campus, Industrial area and surroundings. PNB is a lead Bank 9 districts of Punjab including Mohali out of 22 Districts in Punjab and also convener of State Level Bankers Committee in Punjab.
