Mohali 17th January:- In one of its kind initiative in retailing business , the North Country Mall (NCM) on Mohali- Kharar road has launched free shuttle service for its customers in tri-city today. The service was launched by GS Bhullar , SSP, Mohali at NCM. The air-conditioned low floor buses are equipped with LCDs and digitalroute displays. Each bus is 30-seater with comfortable seats. Interestingly there are also going to have a provision for lady guard inside buses for convenience of female customers.
Under service there are two bus routes; B1 and B2. The B1 route will cater to Kharar-Chandigarh covering all major colleges, institutions and integrated townships and other residential areas in Kharar and Chandigarh whereas B2 route will cover prime markets and residential areas of Mohali. Totem poles will be installed which will also have bus timing schedules and customer care numbers on them. Both the shuttles will run from10am to 9 pm and all through the week. Each shuttle will also have the unique mobile number wherein customers can get an update about the bus. The B1 route will make 9 trips daily. There will be 3 routes in first half of the day covering Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Doaba Group of College ( DGC) , Ryat Bahra, Shivalik City , Sunny Enclave and Punjab University. In second half the rest 6 trips will cover Sector 38 West, Punjab University, CGC, DGC, Ryat Bahra, Shivalik City and Sunny Enclave. The B2 route will make 8 trips in a day. In first half of day, 3 trips will be organized covering areas of Jalvayu Vihar, Sector 67, Mohali Employees Coop Society, Sector 68, SCL Society Sector 71, Silvy Park in Phase 10, Phase 7 market, Phase 3B2 and Phase 5 . The rest 5 trips will be done in second half of day which will cover the same area.
Michael Gurpreet Singh, Vice President, NCM said that those taking advantage of this great value would have the opportunity to enjoy the wide variety of brands and other experiences which North Country Mall offers. Praveen Singh, Marketing Manager, NCM said that travelers on highways could now enjoy everything NCM has to offer, as well an array of shopping, dining and entertainment options with the daily shuttle service. We would expand our reach to other areas as well in tricity in second phase to facilitate the movement of the customers who want to come to the mall and at the same time enjoy the ride.This enterprising move will be highly beneficial for working women ,college students, housewives and elders.
