Haryana announces hike in Prize money for Sports Awards :5 lakhs instead of 2 lakhs for Bhim and Arjun Awardees

Chandigarh 18th September:-- With a view to encourage sports in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda today announced hike in Prize money for Sports Awards . Disclosing here in a meeting, CM said that the Prize money for both Bhim awardees and Arjun awardees has been increased to five lakhs from earlier prize money of two lakhs. Also the prize money for the winners of international competitions has been doubled. Gold medal winner from now onwards will get 10 lakhs instead of 5 lakhs, Silver medal winner will get 8 lakhs instead of 4 lakhs, and Bronze Medal winner will get 6 lakhs instead of 3 lakhs. Even Para Athletes will be benefitted as per the new announcement.
