HIFA Cultural Evening:Father Son Duo Enthrall the Audience: HIFA Honours Dr Ram Viranjan and Sh Brahm Prakash for their contribution in the Field of Art

Chandigarh 22nd July:-- The HIFA cultural evening saw the mystic fervor of Father Son Duo Ustad Gaji Khan Manganiyar, and Kamal Khan who with their Sufiana Kalams and Rajasthani ascent left the city audience spellbound. The original composers of Nimbuda song from Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam, for which they still are waiting to be acknowledged have sung in more than 50 countries of the world. 

Ustad Gaji Khan Manganiyar, the legendary singer from Manganiyar community of western Rajasthan opened the evening with Padaharo hamare des on a relatively soothing note and then took over the stage with Nimbooda, Damadum Mast Kalendar and Kesariya Balma which was indeed a mesmerizing recital.

The HIFA honored Dr Ram Viranjan and Sh Brahm Prakash for their contribution in the field of art. The distinguished guest for the evening were, Ashok Lavasa, IAS , Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India, DS Saroya, Director, North Zone cultural Centre and Asha Sharma, Trustee HIFA.
