One day Workshop on Child issues has been organized by Women and Child Support Unit and Anti Human Trafficking Unit of Chandigarh Police in collaboration with Child Line Chandigarh at Recruit Training Centre, Sector-26, Chandigarh under the guidance of R.P. Upadhyaya, I.P.S., I.G.P., U.T., Chandigarh and supervision of Ms Kamla Meena Dy. S.P. W& CSU, Sector-17, Chandigarh. All the Sub-divisional (DSPs), DSP/Lines Suman Kumar. All SHOs, Incharge Police Posts, MHCs (Daily dairy writers) attended the workshop. Lt Col (Retd.) Ravi Bedi Director Child Line, Dr. Sangeeta Jund Project Director Child Line and Ms Bonny Sodhi Vice President Y.T.T.S., sensitized the participants regarding child issues and made aware about functioning of child line (No-1098). Mr Gautam Bhardwaj Advocate Punjab & Haryana High Court Chandigarh spoke on Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, Sh Jatinder Kamboj Advocate spoke on Juvenile Justice Act and Mr Rajan Jha from Child Line India Foundation New Delhi spoke on child Friendly Police Station. Inspector Jaswinder Kaur Chief Law Instructor, RTC Sector-26, Chandigarh delivered vote of thanks. The main motive to conduct this workshop is to sensitize the police officials while dealing with the children and to aware them regarding the laws related to children
