By 121 News Reporter

Mohali 10th February:- Doon International School, Mohali organised kite flying competition . This workshop was aimed at reviving a family and community oriented pastime which has been superseded by electronic games and convened to train the students to enhance their kite making skills and to teach them some tips and tricks for flying it. At this moment students opt for interesting designs in kites like miniatures or big kites with dragon faces or animal shapes. Kite flyers helped children to fly kites and trained them in kite flying. They also educated them about kite safety rules. Students learnt the art of kite flying enthusiastically. Kites of different colors and shapes soared high and took to the clear blue skies

While appreciating the efforts of students and teachers Director, C.S.Mann informed that kite flying activity was great time pass and was quite popular during the festivities. Special kites shaped like lanterns, lamps, with popular celebrity faces made kite flying quite interesting. It is now high time to bring young students to close to our culture and tradition to show them its real picture.
