Batting first, Team No. 187 posted a competitive total of 125/5. Skipper Mohd Shaban led from the front with a blistering 70 off just 28 balls which included eight towering sixes and three boundaries. He was well-supported by Jannu (19). Ritik and Lucky picked up two wickets for Team 187.
In response, Team 311 faltered against a sharp bowling attack and were bowled out for 94. Sahu (3/20) and Muksad Ali (3/23) delivered match-winning spells. Ritik (20) was the leading contributor for the losing side.
Earlier in the day, in another final of the girls' category played at the same venue, Team No. 1 outplayed Team No. 52 by ten wickets in a one-sided affair.
Opting to bat first, Team No. 1 posted a solid total of 77 without losing a wicket in the stipulated 10 overs. Aditi Gandotra was the top contributor with a run-a-ball 33 while skipper Gitanshi chipped in with 15 and Vansh Deswal added 14 runs.
In reply, a splendid bowling performance led by Alisha who claimed 5 wickets for just 4 runs, dismantled the opposition and restricted them to 42/7. Captain Prabhjot Kaur was the lone fighter for her team who scored 20 runs.
In a friendly exhibition match, Competent XI outclassed the British Deputy High Commission (BDHC) by eight wickets. Batting first, BDHC managed 65/7 with Gautam top-scoring with 26 runs. Competent XI chased down the target comfortably in the ninth over by losing just two wickets.

He announced that soon a felicitation ceremony of the winning and runner up teams along with the outstanding players will be organised wherein His Excellency, the Governor of Punjab and UT Administrator will preside over the ceremony.
