Mohali, Sept.11, 2026:-The campus of CGC University Mohali came alive with youth, talent and the spirit of new beginnings as the annual freshers’ party, ‘Parichay 2026,’ was organised with great enthusiasm and grandeur. The event welcomed new students into the university family with vibrant colours, smiles, music, fashion and entertainment.
‘Parichay 2026’ marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the freshers, providing them with a wonderful platform to connect with one another, express themselves and embrace the spirit of university life. During the event, students showcased their creativity through energetic dance performances and entertaining stage acts. An attractive fashion show was also organised, in which students presented a splendid blend of style, personality and youthful enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was the competition for the titles of ‘Mr. Fresher’ and ‘Ms. Fresher,’ where students displayed their confidence, personality and talent.
The musical programme added further charm to the evening. RCR Rapstar set the stage on fire with his powerful rap performance, while Taraks Band captivated the audience with its distinctive musical style. The melodious voice of renowned singer Akhil Sachdeva further transformed the atmosphere into a magical experience. Punjabi artists Mandy Takhar and Satwinder Singh also attended the event, especially for the promotion of the Punjabi film ‘Tutt Peni Angrezi Ne.’ Their interaction with the students added to the excitement and made the evening even more memorable. The programme concluded with joyful memories and renewed enthusiasm, offering the freshers a glimpse of the bright and promising future that awaits them at CGC University.
