Mohali, Sept.11, 2026:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, organised its annual Indoor Sports Championship under the ‘Fit India’ campaign of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The championship provided students with an excellent opportunity to participate in competitive sports and promote fitness in campus life.

The championship featured exciting events such as table tennis, chess, carrom and push-ups. To make the event more engaging, new and dynamic activities, including badminton singles and rope skipping, were also introduced. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their sporting skills.

In table tennis doubles, Akarshit, a fifth-semester B.Com student, and Pramath, a third-semester MBA student, won the title. Aditya, BBA third semester, and Gurdev, BBA Part III, finished as runners-up. In table tennis singles, Aditya, BBA third semester, secured first position, while Akarshit was the runner-up.

In the push-up competition, Ansh emerged as the winner, while Preetinder secured second position. In chess, Harsh won the title and Sumit finished as the runner-up. In carrom, Prakash (BBA 3) won the title, while Bobby Singh was the runner-up.

An attractive fashion show was also organised, in which students presented a splendid blend of style, personality and youthful enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was the competition for the titles of ‘Mr. Fresher’ and ‘Ms. Fresher,’ where students displayed their confidence, personality and talent.

The musical programme added further charm to the evening. RCR Rapstar set the stage on fire with his powerful rap performance, while Taraks Band captivated the audience with its distinctive musical style. The melodious voice of renowned singer Akhil Sachdeva further transformed the atmosphere into a magical experience. Punjabi artists Mandy Takhar and Satwinder Singh also attended the event, especially for the promotion of the Punjabi film ‘Tutt Peni Angrezi Ne.’ Their interaction with the students added to the excitement and made the evening even more memorable. The collaboration will provide aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs with greater access to experienced mentors, investors and industry practitioners. As part of the partnership, quarterly pitching sessions will be organised for deep-tech and AI focused student startups, giving emerging founders a regular platform to present their ventures, demonstrate their solutions, receive investor feedback and explore potential funding opportunities.

Through these structured engagements, student founders will gain exposure to the expectations of the investment community while developing their ability to articulate their business models, market opportunities, technology propositions, scalability and growth potential.

With a network of more than 70 investors, a portfolio spanning 46 companies and over seven successful exits, Chandigarh Angels Network brings considerable investment and operating experience to the partnership. ​Youth of Haryana to Play a Pivotal Role in Building a Developed India

During the interaction, the officials outlined the objectives, eligibility criteria, selection process, multi-stage structure, and the wide range of opportunities available for the youth of Haryana.

​Joint Director Akarsh Dixit stated that the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 offers a comprehensive national platform for young people to present their ideas, innovation, leadership potential, and creative solutions toward building a developed India. He called upon eligible youth across the state to register at mybharat.gov.in and participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz. He highlighted that the quiz serves as the first stage of the selection process and will remain open until September 30, 2026.

​He emphasized that the quiz is not merely a competition, but an entry point to a national-level youth leadership platform. Top performers will advance through subsequent rounds, including essay writing, district-level competitions, state-level dialogues, and the national selection process. This initiative aims to identify talented, socially conscious, and dynamic young leaders from across the country.

​National Dialogue to take place in New Delhi in January 2027

​The national event of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from January 10 to 12, 2027. Selected youth will present their ideas and recommendations on a national stage, engaging in discussions on the role of youth in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

​The initiative aims to position young people not as passive spectators, but as active contributors and leaders in the nation-building process.

​Key Role of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and 'Mera Yuva Bharat'

​The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, with 'Mera Yuva Bharat' acting as the executing agency. All digital activities—including registrations, the quiz, and essay submissions—are being managed through the 'Mera Yuva Bharat' portal.

​Dixit noted that in 2025, the National Youth Festival was restructured in alignment with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision to create the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. In the previous edition, over 5 million youth participated in the quiz nationwide, with approximately 3,000 participants selected for the national dialogue.

​Eligibility and Registration

​Youth aged 15 to 29 years are eligible to participate. Those already registered on the 'Mera Yuva Bharat' portal do not need to re-register and can directly participate in the Viksit Bharat Quiz.

​Five-Stage Selection Process

​The selection process for the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 is structured into five distinct phases:

​Quiz → Essay → District Championship → State-Level Dialogue → National Dialogue

​

Digital Viksit Bharat Quiz: The top 10% of performers will qualify for the next stage (up to a national cap of 400,000 participants).

​Essay Submission: Qualified participants will submit a 500-word essay.

​District Level: The top 50 essays from each district will be selected, and participants will present their ideas at the district level.

​State Level: The top two participants from each district will advance to the State-Level Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.

​National Level: State-level winners will proceed to the national stage.

​The selection process will be entirely merit-based, evaluated by domain experts and independent panels of judges.

“पशु प्रजनन नियम डेयरी किसानों को नुकसान पहुँचाएंगे और ‘इंस्पेक्टर राज’ बढ़ेगा”: दलजीत सिंह

Chandigarh, Sept.08, 2026:--प्रोग्रेसिव डेयरी फार्मर्स एसोसिएशन (पीडीएफए) ने पंजाब बोवाइन ब्रीडिंग रूल्स, 2021 को लागू करने का कड़ा विरोध किया है। एसोसिएशन का कहना है कि इन नियमों से कृत्रिम गर्भाधान (आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन) करने वाले कर्मचारियों की कमी हो सकती है, किसानों पर बेवजह की पाबंदियां लग सकती हैं, खर्च बढ़ सकता है और “इंस्पेक्टर राज” व भ्रष्टाचार को बढ़ावा मिल सकता है।

चंडीगढ़ प्रेस क्लब, सेक्टर 27 में आयोजित प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में पीडीएफए के प्रेसिडेंट दलजीत सिंह सदरपुरा ने कहा कि इन नियमों से पंजाब के 30,000 से अधिक डेयरी किसानों और 12,000 संगठित पीडीएफए फार्मों की रोज़ी-रोटी पर बुरा असर पड़ सकता है।

यह चेतावनी पीडीएफए की ओर से दी गई है कि हम इस ब्रीडिंग पॉलिसी को पंजाब में लागू नहीं होने देंगे। जब तक इस नीति को रद्द नहीं किया जाता, तब तक हम बड़े स्तर पर इसका विरोध करते रहेंगे।

सदरपुरा ने कहा कि पंजाब के डेयरी क्षेत्र को ऐसी नीतियों की जरूरत है जो किसानों की मदद करें, पशुओं की नस्ल में सुधार करें और दूध उत्पादन बढ़ाएं। लेकिन मौजूदा नियम किसानों के लिए बेवजह की पाबंदियां, कागजी कार्रवाई और अतिरिक्त खर्च पैदा कर रहे हैं।

एसोसिएशन ने नियमों को लेकर 9 बड़ी चिंताएं बताई हैं:

नियमों के अनुसार कृत्रिम गर्भाधान (आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन) का काम केवल पंजीकृत पशु चिकित्सक और अधिकृत आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन कर्मचारी ही कर सकेंगे, जिन्हें तय प्रशिक्षण लेना जरूरी होगा। पीडीएफए का कहना है कि इससे जमीनी स्थिति को ध्यान में नहीं रखा गया है। पशुओं में प्रजनन का काम मौसम के अनुसार बढ़ता-घटता है। पंजाब में पशु चिकित्सकों और प्रशिक्षित आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन कर्मचारियों की संख्या सीमित है। व्यस्त मौसम में ये कर्मचारी सभी किसानों की जरूरत पूरी नहीं कर पाएंगे। इससे पशुओं का समय पर गर्भाधान नहीं हो पाएगा, गर्भधारण की दर कम हो सकती है और किसानों को आर्थिक नुकसान हो सकता है।

नियमों में सर्टिफिकेट, संस्थान से ट्रेनिंग और रजिस्ट्रेशन जैसी शर्तें रखी गई हैं। पीडीएफए का कहना है कि इससे ऐसे अनुभवी स्थानीय आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन कर्मचारियों और किसानों को काम से बाहर किया जा सकता है, जिन्होंने केवल 10वीं कक्षा तक पढ़ाई की है लेकिन उन्हें कई वर्षों का व्यावहारिक अनुभव है। पीडीएफए का कहना है कि आर्टिफिशल इनसेमिनेशन का काम मुख्य रूप से व्यावहारिक और तकनीकी कौशल पर आधारित है। इसलिए इसे केवल शैक्षणिक योग्यता के आधार पर सीमित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।

एसोसिएशन ने सीमन (वीर्य) को रखने और अपने पास रखने पर लगाई गई सीमाओं, खासकर 50 स्ट्रॉ की सीमा, पर आपत्ति जताई है। पीडीएफए के अनुसार, लगभग 100 गायों वाले फार्म को सालभर में अपने प्रजनन चक्र को बनाए रखने के लिए कम से कम 300 सीमन स्ट्रॉ की जरूरत पड़ सकती है। ऐसे में 50 स्ट्रॉ की सीमा आधुनिक डेयरी फार्मों की वास्तविक जरूरत के हिसाब से बहुत कम है। इससे किसानों पर बेवजह कानूनी कार्रवाई का खतरा भी बढ़ सकता है।

पीडीएफए ने सीमन रखने वाले कंटेनरों और लिक्विड नाइट्रोजन के भंडारण से जुड़े सख्त नियमों पर भी चिंता जताई है। पीडीएफए के अनुसार, 10 लीटर जैसे छोटे टैंक में लिक्विड नाइट्रोजन जल्दी खत्म हो सकता है और उसकी बार-बार निगरानी करनी पड़ती है। अगर लिक्विड नाइट्रोजन कम होने का समय पर पता नहीं चला तो महंगा सीमन खराब हो सकता है और फार्म का प्रजनन कार्यक्रम प्रभावित हो सकता है।

हर सीमन स्ट्रॉ की बिक्री या इस्तेमाल का रिकॉर्ड रखना और इसकी जानकारी बैंकों व सरकारी अधिकारियों को देना किसानों और AI कर्मचारियों के लिए अतिरिक्त काम बढ़ाएगा। पीडीएफए का कहना है कि इस तरह का रिकॉर्ड और डेटा संभालने का काम सरकार के पशु चिकित्सा और पशुपालन विभाग के सिस्टम के माध्यम से होना चाहिए, न कि किसानों पर इसका अतिरिक्त बोझ डाला जाना चाहिए।

पीडीएफए ने उन प्रावधानों का कड़ा विरोध किया है जिनके तहत अधिकारियों को कंटेनरों को अवैध घोषित करने और सामग्री को जब्त या नष्ट करने की शक्ति मिल सकती है। सदरपुरा ने कहा कि अगर अधिकारियों को महंगी प्रजनन सामग्री पर बहुत ज्यादा अधिकार दे दिए गए, तो छोटी-मोटी कागजी या नियमों से जुड़ी गलतियों के नाम पर किसानों को परेशान करने और भ्रष्टाचार की संभावना बढ़ सकती है।

एसोसिएशन का कहना है कि एम्बुर्यो प्रोडक्शन  सेंटरज शुरू करने और एम्बुर्यो ट्रांसफर के लिए हर साल लगने वाली फीस काफी ज्यादा है। इससे निजी पशुपालक और ब्रीडर आधुनिक आनुवंशिक तकनीक अपनाने से पीछे हट सकते हैं।

पीडीएफए का कहना है कि पंजाब सरकार को ऐसी तकनीक महंगी बनाने के बजाय एम्बुर्यो ट्रांसफर टेक्नोलॉजी (ईटीटी) को बढ़ावा देना चाहिए, क्योंकि इससे पशुओं की नस्ल में तेजी से सुधार किया जा सकता है।

पीडीएफए ने सीमन स्टेशनों के लिए प्रस्तावित फीस का भी विरोध किया है। एसोसिएशन के अनुसार, 50 प्रोडक्शन बुल्स तक की क्षमता वाले केंद्र के लिए 5 लाख रुपये की फीस रखी गई है। इसके अलावा क्षमता बढ़ने पर अतिरिक्त शुल्क भी देना होगा। पीडीएफए का कहना है कि इतनी ज्यादा शुरुआती लागत से नए सीमन स्टेशन और नई सुविधाएं शुरू करने में लोगों की रुचि कम हो सकती है। इससे प्रतियोगिता घटेगी और किसानों के लिए सीमन स्ट्रॉ की कीमत बढ़ सकती है।

पंजाब में जितना भी नस्ल सुधार हुआ है, उसमें गायों की नस्ल सुधारने में मुख्य भूमिका विदेशों, यानी दूसरे देशों से मंगाए गए सीमन या वीर्य और सीमन स्ट्रॉ की रही है।

जब यह सीमन विदेशों से आयात किया जाता है, तो यह भारत सरकार के पशुपालन विभाग की कठिन और विस्तृत प्रक्रियाओं से गुजरने के बाद ही स्वीकृत होता है। इसके लिए लाइसेंस और परमिट जारी किए जाते हैं और उसके बाद ही इसे भारत में आयात किया जा सकता है।

लेकिन इस नीति में कहा गया है कि जब सीमन विदेशों से मंगाया जाएगा, तो पंजाब सरकार की पशुपालन अथॉरिटी भी दोबारा इसकी समीक्षा करेगी। यह व्यवस्था पूरी तरह गलत है।

इससे प्रक्रिया में अनावश्यक दोहराव होगा और भ्रष्टाचार को भी बढ़ावा मिल सकता है। जब सीमन पहले ही भारत सरकार की पूरी प्रक्रिया से गुजरकर स्वीकृत हो चुका है और आयात किया जा चुका है, तो पंजाब सरकार द्वारा इसकी दोबारा समीक्षा करने की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।

इस तरह की दोहरी प्रक्रिया अनावश्यक रुकावटें पैदा करेगी, जिससे नस्ल सुधार के कार्य में बड़ी बाधा आएगी। हम इस व्यवस्था का पूरी तरह विरोध करते हैं।
