MCM Celebrates Vigilance Week with Debate Competition

Chandigarh Nov. 02, 2021:- Marking the celebration of Vigilance Awareness Week, the Vigilance Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised a Debate Competition on the theme 'Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity' under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was conducted in association with the Vigilance Cell of Chandigarh Administration and sponsored by the Central Bank of India. The guests on the occasion were Ranbir Singh, Vigilance Officer, Central Bank of India, and Gian Singh from the Vigilance Cell, Chandigarh Administration. The competition drew an enthusiastic response from students across different streams of the college. The programme commenced with an oath taking ceremony and proceeded with the speeches of the participants. The participants spoke both for and against the motion and answered the questions put forth to them by the audience. 

Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the Vigilance Cell of the college. She said that the theme of self-reliance with integrity is a very relevant one and asserted that all the countrymen should adopt the mantra of 'Quit Corruption' for transforming our country into a corruption-free progressive nation.
