Chandigarh, Nov.26, 2021:- The Department of Political Science and History of GGSCW celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November, 2021, to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
More than 100 students enthusiastically participated in the live telecast of celebrations of Constitution Day from the Central Hall of Parliament, organised by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines, Govt. Of India, where they read the Preamble of the Constitution with their teachers.
Students were apprised of the significance of this historical day when the Constitution was adopted in 1949. They were also informed that the Constitution Day this year was being organized with 'Jan Bhagidari' on a mega scale. Students were also told that our country is celebrating its 75th Year of Independence as "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" this year.
The Hon'ble President of India also released two web portals related to the Constitution to mark the occasion.
