An Online National Seminar on Emerging Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences Held in DBU

Chandigarh June 30, 2021:- School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University organized an online National Seminar on "Emerging Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences: From Research to Revenue" in technical collaboration with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (Punjab State Branch). around 100 participants from across the country participated in the webinar. Chancellor of DBU Dr. Zora Singh congratulated the Department for this initiative. 

Giving details of the webinar spokesperson of the University said that the President, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) Dr. R.K. Goel delivered a concise speech. Scientific Session 1 on "Chemical Engineering-A Strategy to Optimize the Biopharmaceutical Parameters" was discussed by Dr. Renu Chadha, Professor, and Former Dean, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University. 'Ocular drug delivery system' was the second Scientific session of the day by Dr. Munish Ahuja (Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana).

Scalable Processes for the synthesis of Sulonylureas by Dr. Manjinder Singh Gill, (Assistant Professor Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, NIPER, Mohali) was the third Scientific session. He focused on Process chemistry in the development of sulphonylureas used in various health challenges.

All the dignitaries and delegates were welcomed by Dr. Puja Gulati, Head of the department. She in her speech enlightened everyone about the need of today in terms of pharma health care. The importance and objectives of this National Seminar were highlighted by Principal School of Pharmacy, Prof. B. D. Dhiman.

Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur congratulated Staff, students, and members of the School of Pharmacy for the successful conduct of the event.

Dr. Shalini Gupta, the Vice-Chancellor, acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the School of Pharmacy and conveyed best wishes in the future to organize these types of events.

The last session was on 'Research: The smart way to generate revenue'. It was a very well-explained lecture on research to revenue resources.

All the faculty members and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and various institutions enjoyed this multidisciplinary seminar. At the end of the event, Dr. Puja Gulati delivered a vote of thanks to the Keynote speaker, All the Speakers, participants, faculty members of the University itself, and various institutions.
