Chandigarh 25th July:- Pearson, the world's learning company today announced the launch of MyPedia Achievement Test in India; an online assessment tool that will measure student's learning ability and skills across different scholastic areas.  Mapped to the Indian curriculum and learning standards, MyPedia Achievement Test 2016 will measure skills in areas such as English, English Listening, Mathematics and Science for classes 3-10 and will also provide detailed feedback and results instantly. It is designed to measure learning across a wide range of conventional and non-conventional parameters like listening vocabulary, comprehension as well as subject-specific skills in just four simple steps. The test is open till September 2016; students can attempt the test up to two times and the best score will be considered for evaluation. You can also take a free practice test on https://achievementtest.pearsonmypedia.com/

Ujjwal Singh, Vice President, Product K12, Pearson India said that assessing learning on an on-going basis is important to get a clear understanding of where the student is doing well and what areas need special attention.  At Pearson, we are constantly thinking of newer and better approaches to learning. While the method of learning is changing, it is imperative for us to work on newer ways of measuring skills and results. He added that MyPedia Achievement Test does this. It is built around inquiry-based, experimental learning and embraces individual differences of students, it also encourages students to think out-of-the-box and be problem solvers.

The test has been specially designed to facilitate seamless student engagement and scope for individual, differentiated assessment.  One of the most compelling features of the achievement test is that it aims to bridge gap between teachers, students and parents. It allows parents to monitor the child's achievement level and receive guidance for home involvement. Another special feature of the test is that it not only measures what students know but also assesses what they are able to do with that knowledge.
