By 121 News

Chandigarh 12th January:- Daljit as Manjari from Tashan-E-Ishq said that she goes to the Gurudwara in the morning and then we burn the lohri at night. There is a line that we would always say..."Eesar aa… dalidar jaa... dalidar di jadh.. chulhe paa" which means God this Lohri, please burn all our evils. She loves eating mathi and til ke ladoo and popcorn on Lohri.

Jasmin Bhasin as Twinkle in Tashan-E-Ishq said that since she had moved to Mumbai, she haven't really celebrated Lohri, she just go to the Gurudwara in the evening. Back at home, she had always had a wonderful time on Lohri.  She comes from a joint family so all the cousins, relatives would come over. She had some amazing childhood memories of dancing on every Lohri.

Rohit Khuranna as Jamal is Lajwanti said that with family and friends we go around the fire and do puja and then we have a nice dinner post that. We also dance on Bollywood songs and sometimes call the dhol walas and dance next to the Lohri fire.

Mohit as Somendra in Sarojini said that all family members and cousins come together for Lohri, we celebrate together with food, singing, dhols and dance as well. The Lohri tradition has been kept alive in my house for many years now.

Surbhi as Mahira in Tashan-E-Ishq said that she really miss celebrating Lohri in Punjab as it was very special. We used to eat Revdi, Gajak. There was a trend that if someone has recently got married or if there is a new born baby then they would specially invite close family and friends for Lohri. We burn the Lohri, sing songs together and in some parts of Punjab people still go to ask for Lohri.

Eva Grover as Anita in Tashan-E-Ishq said that Lohri is the beginning of a new year for Punjabis.  She was very young when she lived in Punjab and she had been in Mumbai for the last 23 years. Her mother and she don't really do a huge celebration but we light a little bonfire and for us it's more like a barbeque and a tandoor evening. She wish everyone a Very Happy Lohri. Dance a lot and make lots of money.
