GJIMT organize 11th national conference on role of skill development

Mohali 20^th December:- Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology (GJ-IMT), Mohali organized its 11th National conference on "Role of skill development in employment generation" in which  Delegates of different colleges 38 participated.  Darshan Kumar, CEO,Khosla Machines Pvt.  Ltd. Mohali was the chief Guest at this occasion.

While welcoming all the delegates Chairman JS Bedi said that Skill and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development for any country. Skill development is critical for achieving faster, sustainable and inclusive growth on the one hand for providing decent employment opportunities to the growing young population on the other. Countries with higher and better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of world of work. He further added that the objective of Skill Development is to create a workforce empowered with the necessary and continuously upgraded skills, knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications to gain access to decent employment and ensure India's competitiveness in the dynamic global market.

 

This Conference has attempted to bring in concert illustrious academicians, researchers, experts and professionals with their precious inspection on the topics, on a common podium. Here these academicians, practitioners and researchers got a chance to deliberate upon issues related to Skills for entrepreneurship  , a strategic framework to bridge the gap between training and the world of work., opportunities and challenges for training and skills development, anticipating future skills needs, Participation of social partners in skill development ,Broad access to training for the Youth, Small enterprises, self-employment and the informal economy, Skills for green jobs, Case studies and various other issues in the  light of current scenario.
