3 day Photography Workshop begins at MCM

Chandigarh 22nd January: Mass Communication Department and Photography Club, of MCM College organised a three day photography workshop began here today. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Madhu Pandit, a renowned photographer artist and owner of Shutterbugdesign- a photography company.

 The module for day one of the workshop aimed at making the students familiar with various parts of camera, different types of cameras, types of lenses as well as the working of a camera. Ms. Madhu also demonstrated the effect of different types of cameras and lenses on the quality of photographs. This was followed by practical session wherein students clicked photographs with different types of cameras and then their photographs were taken up for discussion. During the discussion, the expert pointed out the shortcomings of the photos or how the photos could be made better. She also encouraged the students to consider photography as a career choice as it is a blooming alternative career choice among young entrepreneurs these days. The session was made conversational and interactive as an overwhelming number of photography enthusiasts kept shooting questions at the expert.

 The Principal of the college, Dr. Puneet Bedi exhorted the students to utilise the exceptional opportunities made available to them under the banner of MCM Photography Club to nurture their talent and skills and to explore the wide world of knowledge and opportunities beyond the classrooms
