Chandigarh, May 11, 2024:-
The BJP candidate for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat Sanjay Tandon has said today that the Congress candidate is devoid of issues and out of touch with ground realities in the city.  "Due to this the Congress adversary  is adopting a 'copy-cat' approach," Tandon said.

Tandon today addressed a Jansabha at Sec 45 which was organised by Uttrakhand Cell.

Tandon said that he had raised issues like share wise property registration, one-time settlement of housing board issues and the dadumajra issue among others. These were then later picked up by Tewari and spoken about.

Tandon said that whatever issue is raised by me and announcements made regarding the issue's resolution after formation of the Modi 3 government in New Delhi next month, Tewari comes up with similar sounding promises the next day.

He added that Tewari's promises however sound hollow because the intelligent and educated people of Chandigarh know that Congress stands no chance of coming to power at the centre in the near future.

Tandon further said that Tewari is fond of seeking BJP's report card of achievements in the UT in the past 10 years which are numerous and known to Chandigarhians but when I  seek Manish Tewari's report card in Ludhiana and Sri Anandpur Sahib, Tewari ducks the question.

Tandon said that while both parties – Congress and AAP are steeped in corruption, the BJP's vision is of development and corruption-free governance.

Meanwhile when the BJP candidate reached the Jansabha in Sec 45, the crowd present welcomed him warmly with slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Abki Baar 400 paar'. Tandon expressed his gratitude towards the Uttarakhand community members. A cultural performance by the Uttarakhand community members in traditional attire was also held.

Tandon said that during his 10-year tenure, PM Modi has made schemes for every section, whose beneficiaries have got direct benefits. He also enumerated the development works done in Chandigarh during his 10-year tenure and said that Chandigarh has become the first solar city in the country. Along with this, government schools have been made, hi-tech and sports complex Sector-42 and mini sports infrastructure have been constructed in the city.

On this occasion, a large number of people including Uttarakhand Cell coordinator Bhupinder Sharma, BJP State  Vice President, Shakti Prakash Devshali, Kanwar Rana, MC; Ravinder Malik, District President; Papu Shukla Purvanchal Cell, State Convener; Chandrwati Shukla, Former Councilor, Sunita Bhatt, ex State Vice president, Baljinder Gujral, Trader cell state convener.
