53rd All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya and Sangeet Sammelan Wrapped up with Superb Vocal Jugalbandi

Concluding day of 53rd  All India Bhaskar Rao Nritya and Sangeet Sammelan witnessed a magnificent vocal jugalbandi by Pt. Ritesh & Pt. Rajnish Mishra  and amazing Kathak dance by eminent Kathak danseuse Vidha Lal & troupe  at the Tagore Theatre here today. The musical bonanza went on to a majestic melodic experience after the Dr. Samira Koser welcomed the artists and audience. Nitin Kumar Yadav, Home Secretary, Chandigarh Administration graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Kendra's Senior Vice Chairman Prof. Arun Grover ,  SNA Awardee Guru Maa Dr. Shobha Koser and  Secretary Sajal Koser felicitated the Chief guest with bouquet, scroll, shawl and Memento.

About the artists:
The Maestros Duo Ritesh Mishra and Rajnish Mishra have put in everything to achieve such excellence under the guidance of the Legends, the 'Sun and Moon' of the Banaras Gharana, Padma Bhushan Late Pt. Rajan Misra (Father) and Pt. Sajan Misra (Uncle).The Artist brothers along with their academics (Delhi University) have been learning music since their birth with sounds of Tanpura, Sarangi, Tabla and voices of forefathers vibrating in their home and surroundings. Enliven the sixth generation of the family of great musicians , gifted with a very pleasing voice and sensibility for musical notes they toiled through the strenuous music sessions over the years. Skilled with rich knowledge of Indian Ragas the duos render Khayal, Tappa, Tarana Bhajans and other classical forms, casting a spell on the audience. Duos have performed at most prestigious concerts all over the world.

Vidha Lal Is disciple and daughter-in-law of Renowned Guru And Sangeet Natak Akademy Awardee Smt.Geetanjali Lal of Jaipur Gharana. Vidha Has emerged as a rising star in the field of Kathak. A Graduate From Lady Sri Ram College For Women, New Delhi  , Vidha  is an empanelled artist of Indian council for cultural relations (ICCR ) and 'a' graded artist from Delhi Doordarshan. Vidha has earned great acclaim in the media and from connoisseurs for her brilliant solo performances in India and abroad. She has received Sri Krishana Gana Sabha endowment award 2010, Chennai. She has also credit of making a Guinness World Record For Taking Most Numbers Of Kathak Spins(103) In One Minute In 2011.
She has receivd many awards for her remarkable performances.

Performances:-
Today's program started with the vocal recital of Ritesh Rajnish  Mishra known as Mishra bandhus. The duo chose raga Maru Bihag  in which after the traditional Aalap followed by a mesmerized  bandish " payian tori laagi rahun"   set to  Vilambit Laya ek taal.  Then the  duo moved on to present  a beautiful crisp bandish "raat ke alsaye piyarwa" , a fast tempo based composition set to teen taal  in their vibrant voice . After this they  doled out with another mesmerizing bandish with bols  sagun ban boli re koyeliya  composed in Drut Laya set to Teen Taal , got a repeated  applause from the audience. At the end of the program, on the occasion of Holi  the duo performed Rangili Bandish Mori Chunari Rang Dari Dekho Shyam. Senior harmonium exponent Pandit Dharmanath Mishra and Shri Pradeep Sarkar on the tabla provided excellent accompaniment to the duo.

After this spectacular presentation, Vidushi Vidha Lal and her troupe took the centre  stage and mesmerized the audience with their beautiful Kathak performances. They started the devotional piece with Maa Durga's Beej Mantra Om ayeen Hreem Kleem Chamundaye Vichhe  in which they beautifully described the three feminine powers in the dance. This item was composed by Guru Geetanjali Lal and  choreographed by Vidha Lal.

 The second rendition was  Ullhas  based on Bhav Paksha in the composition Albela Sajan Ayo, a beautiful portrayal of Radha Krishna love saga . This item was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience.

After this, Hori Dhamar was presented in a solo presentation by Vidha Lal, in which the beautiful and captivating presentation of Radha Krishna's Holi is praiseworthy. A beautiful combination of beautiful expressions, footwork and abhinaya and style of  presentation is the strength of Vidha's dance.  She  concluded the program with a composition based on the festival of Holi, in which Aaj Rang Hai, a beautiful Sufi composition, was presented. The presentation was brilliantly performed by their group which received immense applause from the audience. Muskaan, Stuti Pandey, Nidhi Kakkar and Anamika Mandal participated the troupe of Vidha. Vidha's dance group was studded  with beautiful accompaniment by Hiren Chate on tabla, Salman Warsi on Pakhawaj, Suheb Hasan on singing and Aamir Khan on Sarangi, which enhanced the charm of the presentation .

The special guests of the evening honored the artists.  Secretary Sajal Koser   expressed his gratitude to the media, audience, artistes and his team for making the event a huge success. With this note, this year's  mega festival has come to a grand conclusion and hearty congratulations to the organizers for organizing this event.
