Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha U.T and MC, Chandigarh Holds Protest: Demanded Reinstatement of Sacked NHM Employees

Chandigarh Dec. 06, 2021:- Six major employees' federations and organizations of UT and MC Chandigarh had earlier jointly met Director Health and Secretary Health, Chandigarh Administration on the issue of reinstatement of 178 terminated NHM employees  and also demanded to rejoin the services of sacked employees. Ignoring these demands, the Director Health, Chandigarh Administration has not yet addressed the issue and the sacked employees are struggling.

The NHM employees are struggling to join their services for the last 40 days and due to lack of decision making of hospital administration, the employees were forced to move for litigation too.

The Director Health was showing adamant behavior in joining these sacked employees and now reinstatement has been put on hold due to an excuse to withdraw the litigation before joining. The lack of decision making of Director Health has created a deadlock.

Under the leadership of Conveners of the Working Committee of Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha Shri Gopal Dutt Joshi, Sukhbir Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Ashwini Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Bipin Sher Singh, besides state executive members Dharmendra Rahi, Ranbir Rana, Rajinder Katoch, Raja Ram, Surmukh Singh,Ranjit Mishra, Ashok Kumar and  Janardan Yadav, etc. thousands of Workers protested and shouted slogans at Director Health office to rejoin the services of sacked NHM employees. Due to ignorance of the commendable work of NHM employees during COVID-19 by Director Health, the repatriation of concerned Director to Punjab were also demanded.

Sanyukt Karamchari Morcha UT and MC Chandigarh also warned the administration to intensify their struggle and dharna demonstration at the door of Chandigarh Administration  and Administrator if the administration did not address the issue of rejoining the services of 178 sacked NHM employees at the earliest. Morcha Called for " General Strike '' along with March to Governor House on 21st December. The Protest will continue till the Reinstatement of 178 terminated NHM employees.
