Chandigarh Nov. 01, 2021:- A Legal awareness Programme on Women Rights was organized by District Legal Services Authority and Department of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development, Chandigarh Administration in association with National Commission for Women. The program was conducted under the guidance of Gurbir Singh, Learned District and Session Judge, UT Chandigarh. The program consisted of 3 separate sessions conducted by various resource persons.
Technical Sessions-I conducted by Dr. Neha Awasthi Ban, Advocate on Gender Equality and Existing Situations of Women Rights.
Technical Session-II conducted by MS. Manjeet Kaur Sandhu Adv on Eradication of Violence and Discrimination against Women.
Technical Sessions-III conducted by Ms. Anshul Sharma, Women Welfare Officer, Chandigarh Administration on Protection Schemes available for Women in Chandigarh.
Representatives from Police, Aanganwadi Workers, Asha Workers, Helpline Volunteers, Para Legal Volunteers and Advocates participated in the program.
