Installation Ceremony of the New Team of Indian Institute of Interior Designers Held

Chandigarh Oct.24 2021:- The installation ceremony of the new team of Indian Institute of Interior Designers  (IIID) Chandigarh for the term 2020-23, was held here. It was announced that architectural tours will be conducted by IIID Chandigarh for the members from different chapters in India. Ms Jabeen Zacharias, President, IIID, was the chief guest, while Sarvdeep Basur, eminent Lighting Expert from Lucent Worldwide was the guest of honour at the event.

 

The new team of IIID Chandigarh regional centre includes Ms Ashima Vashisht (Chairperson), Ar Manmohan Khanna (Chairman elect), Ms Sudha Ojha (Hon. Secretary), Sanjay Khanna (Treasurer), Ms Harleen K Virk (Education Committee), Manuj Shardia (Membership growth committee), Harmeet Singh (Events), Kanav Khosla (Member, Finance Committee), Sohan Lal (Executive) and Jit Kumar Gupta (Mentor and Advisor).

 

Architect Manmohan Khanna, Founder Chairman of IIID Chandigarh, said that it is a proud moment for me to witness the interior designers community growing and contributing to the design industry in more ways than one. We have decided to invite the members of IIID Chapters from all over the country to understand the architecture of the City Beautiful Chandigarh. It will be an ongoing process.

 

Sarvdeep Basur, eminent Lighting expert from Lucent Worldwide gave a presentation of the report on activities of IIID Chandigarh. He also threw light on the trends and concepts in lighting design.

 

Representatives of Stylam, Cera and American Bond were also present on the occasion. Awards were given to the winners of competitions conducted by the chapter. The prestigious institution - IIID was established in 1972.
