We Will not Allow BJP's Aim of Enslaving Farmers to Succeed: Congress

Chandigarh Jan. 27, 2021:- Chandigarh Congress  organised a flag hoisting ceremony at Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 to celebrate the 72nd Republic Day. In the presence of former Union Minister and AICC Treasurer Pawan Kumar Bansal and other party senior leaders, Chandigarh Congress President Pardeep Chhabra hoisted the national flag.

Addressing the gathering, Chhabra said that the very essence of republic which we are celebrating today, is under attack in the current environment under the Modi government. He said that communal forces are thriving under the current regime of Central government of BJP and this is a dangerous precedent for the nation. Chhabra added that a historic farmer's protest is undergoing in India where lakhs of farmers are braving the cold weather and indifferent attitude of government and fighting for their rights and many have lost their lives in this fight. But the Modi government is behaving in a deaf and dumb manner and in their arrogance; BJP is refusing to hear the voice of the farmers and public and only listening to their crony capitalist friends. In this arrogance, the autocratic government is adamant on implementation of the three farm laws which the farmers are resentful against. The protesting farmers are being defamed by being called Maoists, Khalistani or Pakistan funded agents. The Modi government is hell bent on destroying all democratic norms just to please their bosses like Ambani and Adani. The BJP ministers under Modi government are behaving as puppets of these crony capitalists and are working as Chowkidar of these wealthy industrialists. Under the Modi government every section of society is being ostracized, unemployment is at its peak, businesses are being closed under losses and youth are moving from door to door in search of jobs and better future. The big PSUs and government companies which were established under Congress governments are being sold today and the flawed policies of Modi government have pushed the nation years back. The Congress leaders and workers will never allow the divisive and fascist forces to succeed in their nefarious designs. Hundreds of Congress workers were present at the occasion along with senior Congress leaders.
