Chandigarh 24th May:- City-based gynaecologists have started a unique initiative to upgrade suburban doctors. "There will be academic, interactive sessions for doctors that will help them learn from National and International standard faculties of different premier health institutes along with entertainment sessions. We have set-up MOHOGS, Mohali Obestrician and Gynaecological Society, which will help suburban doctors upgrade themselves, which will also help reduce pressure of patients on premier health institutes. This was stated by Dr Preeti Jindal, Senior Consultant, Fortis Hospital and Vice President of MOHOGS.
Dr Andesh Kang, SMO Incharge Civil Hospital Phase-6, Mohali and Patron MOHOGS.here are as many as 70 gynaecologists from Tricity, Kharar, Ropar, Sirhind, Bassi Pathana, Banur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Dera Bassi, Kurali, Anandpur Sahib, Parwanoo et al who are active members of this society. Every month we are going to have meetings on advancements in gynaecology. We initiated this concept to let suburban doctors enter in mainstream, as they have been left out always.
Dr Vineet Nagpal, Senior Consultant Civil Hospital, Phase 6 Mohali and President at MOHOGS. said that this time we are concentrating on diabetes in pregnancy. There are around 20-30 percent out of 100 Patients suffering from diabetes during pregnancy who report at Phase 6 Civil Hospital, Mohali.
