Chandigarh 26th May:- The District Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh in collaboration with the Art of Living organization has undertaken a positive step to transform marginalized youth. In this regard, it was informed by Amarinder Sharma, Secretary, DLSA, the Art of Living organization will be conducting a 4 Day workshop known as YES! (Youth Empowerment and Skills) from today.
The Program will highlight on rejuvenating processes and activities to inculcate moral values. The major stress will be on yogic and breathing technique, Sudarshan Kriya. Punjab and Chandigarh State Coordinator of Art of Living Ms. Paulomi Mukherjee said the program will surely boost up the energy levels of juveniles; add more positivity in their lives. District and Sessions Judge, Balbir Singh formally inaugurated the workshop and told that yoga harmonizes the mind with the body and this results in real quantum benefits. The workshop shall be followed up with regular follow up programs for the juveniles.
The course content has been developed after deliberations with the Art of Living Foundation to suit the needs of the young adult learners. The course conducted by experts will cover self awareness, effective communication skills. Problem solving skills, decision making ability, creative thinking, coping with emotions, interpersonal skills, empathy, coping with stress, time management, health habits and the environment, disciplining the mind, EMI- ethics, Morality and integrity, leadership qualities, team work and global citizenship.
