Chandigarh 23rd April:- The Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema today handed over appointment letter to 153 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) (Lectures) of Model Schools and given posting orders at the stations as per their choice at the spot at Auditorium of Punjab School Education Board Mohali.
Out of 153 Lecturer, a Lecturer of Biology Mrs Gurpreet Kaur came with her newly born 6 day girl. Before the appointment handed over ceremony Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema gave Shagun to newly born girl and appointment letter to Lecturer Mrs Gurpreet Kaur.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the department said that Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema has given away the appointment letters. He said that pursuing directions of Education Minister Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema for upgrading the faculty in the schools recruitment process has been geared up. He said that besides 153 Lecturers, appointment letters to 33 Lectures and 110 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) under RMSA will also be issued tomorrow. All these recruits have also allotted the station as per their choice at the spot.
He further said that out of these 153 newly recruited Lecturers 21 of English, 20-20 of Punjabi, Physics, Chemistry and Math, 19 of Biology, 14 of Political Science, 11 of Geography and 8 lectures of Commerce.
Divulging the details he said that all the newly appointed 186 Lectures (PGT) and 110 TGT were called for allotting stations on today and Tomorrow. He said all the vacant stations were being flashed on a big screen. All the Lectures were asked to give their preferences against the vacant station flashing on the screen. The stations were allotted at the spot as per the request of the lecturers.
