Chandigarh 19th March:- The Governor Punjab, Haryana and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki attended the 'Walk of hope Padyatra' organized by Manav Ekata Mission at Sukhana Lake today in the morning. Walk of Hope 2015-16 is a padayatra for peace & harmony by the Manav Ekta Mission—from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. Manav Ekta Mission advocates that humanity is one—transcending religious, racial, geographical, cultural and ideological differences. Led by Sri M and traversing 7500 kms through 11 Indian states in 500 days, this mission on foot will reach out to 10 million fellow Indians. A diverse assembly of responsible citizens is accompanying Sri M in this Walk.
The main objectives of Walk of Hope are Interfaith harmony, Equality for all, Sustainable living, Women empowerment, Community health, and Education & youth development.
