Chandigarh 23rd February:- The Annual Sports Meet was organized at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGI, Chandigarh by Sports Coordinator Aarti Garg and Members Committee of NINE under the Chairmanship of Dr (Mrs) Sandhya Ghai, Principal, NINE. Dr Subhash Varma, Dean-cum-Officiating Director, PGI was the Chief Guest for the event and inaugurated the occasion by Ribbon cutting and Lamp Lightening Ceremony. Dr Subhash Varma enlightened the students with his valuable words and encouraged the students for participation in extracurricular activities and to continue the same in their day to day life. Dr Sandhya Ghai, Principal, NINE also addressed the students and motivated them for staying physically active and fit.
The event was partially sponsored by the SBI General Insurance to create an awareness regarding SBI Insurance policies. Students participated in various events like March Past, 100m race, Sack Race, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball, Kho Kho with full enthusiasm and vigour.
Sushil Thakur, Financial Advisor-cum-Deputy Director (Admn.), PGI was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory Session of the event. He distributed prizes to the winners and congratulated students for putting their best efforts to make this event a grand success.
