Chandigarh 23rd October:- Day 3 of NSS Camp at MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh was infused with knowledge and service. In the pre lunch session, Advocate Jagtar Kureel educated the volunteers about Women issues and the rights of Women. After this, Dr. Swapna Mishra from Fortis Hospital, Mohali discussed the prevention, early identification and care of Breast Cancer. She also taught self Breast examination and advised the students regarding its importance in early detection of signs of breast cancer.
In the post lunch session, the volunteers went to the adopted village Badheri and educated the masses avout AIDS and Blood Donation. A rally was also organized by the NSS volenteers to spread awareness about Blod Donation. Applauding the endeavours, the Program officer of NSS at MCM said that selfless service of mankind can make this world a better place. She encouraged the students to do their bit in the upcoming days and help the underprivileged.
