Chandigarh 28th September:- Shemrock School Mohali, organized inventor day to instil the scientific temper and zeal among young and budding inventors to try to create something new. Students put up their innovative ideas with a futuristic approach. Various projects were displayed by students at the moment. Biogas plant by Bhavya Puri and Komal, Laser Security System by Dilman and Gaurav, Hydroponics by Misbah and Sarbjit, Multiple generation by Jasmine were announced winners at the moment .Later Students were also told about many inventors and their inventions to enhance their horizon.
The main motive to celebrate this day was not only to recall and honor great and in-comparable men who by virtue of their intellectual bravado and the courage to challenge limits gave us an easier life but the day was also commemorated to instil the spirit of enquiry and question to encourage students to work on their inspiration to make the roads of innovation ahead brighter.
While encouraging the students Director Education Air Commodore (Rtd.) S K Sharma said that the word inventor typically conjures a mental image of a scientist. He further informed that perhaps it seems a bit eccentric but actually many inventions are the products of ordinary people solving everyday problems. According to him such activities about innovation and invention inspire the students to create something new.
