Chandigarh 28th September:- Nav Bal Niketan Model School, Sector 29B, Chandigarh in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad (East) organized blood donation camp in the school today with the support of PGI blood bank. The staff and the parents of the school enthusiastically participated in the camp. 32 units of blood were collected. Mobile VAN of PGI was used in the collection process.
On this occasion a poster making competition on "Blood Donation" theme was organized for the students of classes 4th to 8th in the school. Aman Singh Negi
(class VIII) secured First Prize, Riya Kumar (class VI) secured second
prize, Deepika (Class VII) secured third prize.
Principal Mrs. Punam Mahajan thanked the parents and the staff for their efforts in making this camp a success and also the team from PGI blood bank for their support. She said that the students made posters on blood donation and inspired their families and friends about blood donation. We are determined to make the children of NBN the blood donors of the future so that nobody loses his or her life because of the lack of blood.
