Chandigarh 03rd September:- Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) conducted the CRF 50 Fest in St. Stephen's School Sector 45, Chandigarh today. The CRF 50 Fest was inaugurated in the august presence of Harold Carver, Principal, St. Stephen's School, Chandigarh, Ms. Anju Sharma, Inspector In-charge, Children Traffic Park, Chandigarh, Harpreet Singh, Department Head- Safety Promotion HMSI and other senior dignitaries. The mega activity aims at engaging and educating kids in a fun way on the intricacies of 'road-safety.' More than 500 kids participated in activity today. Honda CRF 50 Fest was kicked off from Delhi last week.
The CRF 50 activity is a 100% fun-learning experience that replicates real-life riding conditions in an organized and secure environment. Additionally, theoretical sessions, traffic signs quiz and road rules puzzles are some of the other activities which were conducted by Honda safety instructors. Based on final performance and evaluations, one Road Safety Champ was chosen and awarded. Participating kids were presented a memento marking the occasion.
Commenting on the occasion the official spokesperson of the HMSI said that under our 'Catch Them Young' approach, we believe in cultivating safe-riding habits from an early age. We want the future riders of India to be responsible citizens on the road and lead to a safer road environment. CRF 50 Fest is a small step towards creating safety advocates for the society helping us achieve our dream of – Making safe riding an everyday habit. Honda CRF 50 motorcycles are specially designed for imparting training to children in the age group of 9-12 years on the dynamics of safe riding.
