The total area surveyed was hilly terrain, an ideal site.  Students also learnt to fix various stations in a closed traverse so that the whole area to be surveyed. Then, they were assimilated with the instruments to be used and procedure and precautions to be followed in using them. Then whole traverse was plotted using theodolite and plane table. With theodolite interior angles and external angles were measured. Later, the traverse was plotted along with the physical features of the whole area. Whole area was divided in smaller grids and levels of various points were taken and at the same time another team plotted the point. Process was repeated in whole area. Then the reduced levels were calculated and marked on sheet plotted for the drawing the contour map. The compass traverse was also done.

While Speaking at the moment Chairman D S Sekhon said that in this 10 Days camp efforts were made to introduce camp life as well as practical training to the students.
