Resident Welfare Organisation Organise Annual Day

Chandigarh 21st April:- In continuation to the pioneering effort made last year by the current Executive Committee of Resident Welfare Organisation (RWO), Sector 38 A & B, Annual Day was celebrated in the premises of Stepping Stone School, Sector 38. Parvinder Singh (SP City)Chandigarh Police was Chief Guest for the function.

The function was inaugurated with the customary lighting of "Jyoti" by the invited dignitaries lead by Prem Kaushik, the President of RWO. Half way through the colourful variety entertainment programme, compared by Rakesh Kaura, General Secretary of RWO produced by the children and adults of Sector, the new 4th Edition of Members' Directory, 2015 was released in the presence of SP City. The new addition carries the usual details of name, address and telephone numbers of residents. However, the innovative high-lights of the contents of new directory are the marriage anniversary and birth dates of members. Also, in view of the increasing heinous crimes against the most vulnerable part of our society (senior citizens, ladies and children), the directory also contains precautions required to be adopted by the targeted segment and their wards to safeguard against loss of limb and life. After the conclusion of variety entertainment, the "Super Senior Residents", who have attained the golden age of above 85 years, were honored and presented mementos by the President of RWO. The national/state level achievers amongst Sector Residents in education and cultural fields were also felicitated with mementos. This was followed by the prize distribution to the individuals and groups for producing prize winning live performances.
