New public School Hold Inter School Painting Competition To Mark Water Resource Day

Chandigarh 30th April:- To mark Water Resource Day, The Eco Club of New Public School under the aegis of Environment Department, Chandigarh Administration organized an Inter School Painting Competition in its school. The Eco Club at New Public School celebrates this day every year to create awareness amongst children and their elders about the significance of conserving water and to make judicious use of it while doing the every single routine activities. One should keep in mind that water is precious and we have to value each drop of water. Satish Kaushik (Artist ) from Govt. Medical College Sec-32, Chandigarh and Ishwar Chander Free lance artist were the esteemed judges on the occasion and they evaluated the paintings made by the Students .

In the completion held today almost 130 Students from 22 different school of the Tricity participated. Students were divided in 2 two categories namely, juniors (VI to VIII) and Seniors (IX to X). Whereas the students in Juniors category were given topic "SAVE WATER", the students on the Senior Category were given topic "Shapes and Shades of water".

Ex Deputy Mayor & Councilor, MC Chandigarh, Davesh Moudgil was the chief guest on the occasion and he gave away the prizes to the winners of both the categories. In his brief address to the students he applauded the initiative taken by the school.
