Mahila Bhawan will be center of Social activities for Women in Chandigarh: Mayor

Chandigarh 04^th February:-The Women Empowerment Committee (WEC) of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh felt a need of focal point in the city for the women where social welfare activities can be carried out. This has been stated by the Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Mayor of Chandigarh today.

Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Mayor said that under the auspices of Municipal Corporation in the Social Welfare domain inclusive of skill development, community network, Women Counseling, 24x7 Help Lines  , Livelihood activities, entrepreneurship development, capacity building and training, promotion of art and culture, educational and health promotion activities under a single roof called as  "Mahila Bhawan".
