Mohali 24th November:- Doon International School, Mohali organised a seminar on the theme of Eat healthy, say no to junk food. Students were briefed the importance of balanced diet and good eating habits. The students were advised to avoid eating junk food and drink plenty of water .Harmful effects of junk food were explained. Stress was laid stress on importance of outdoor activities. Students were also encouraged to do physical activities which help in being healthy and sharpen the brain as well. Besides, collage making activity was organized at the campus. The children collected empty wrappers of toffees, chocolates, chips, etc and pictures of junk food and healthy food. Later, lunch boxes of the students were tasted and first, second and third prizes were given to healthiest lunch boxes and winners of the games
Director, C.S.Mann said that a healthy mind lives in healthy body and encouraged to eat healthy and nutritious food which helps to make their immune system strong to fight the diseases. He motivated the students to inculcate healthy eating habits to stay healthy.
