Mohali 20th November:- The 35 NCC cadets consisting of 6 girls & 29 boys from Chandigarh Group of Colleges Jhanjeri attended camp at NCC Academy, Ropar. These cadets were given regular training by academy in the camp. The cadets of CGC, Jhanjeri excelled & won 7 prizes. Cadet Rishav Thakur showed his leadership qualities and handled duties of the Camp .He bagged 1st prize in written exam of NCC, 1st position as Camp senior and in Firing Competitions and Drill Competition as well as a commander. He was also declared as the 2nd Best Cadet of the Camp. Cadets Rohit and Naveen bagged Gold Medal for Quarter Guard participation and Rohit also won 1st position in poetry competition.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President, CGC said that CGC got approval by three Defense Forces Indian Army, Indian Navy & Indian Air Force for direct selection under University Entry Scheme. A number of CGC students are already serving as army officers. Dr. G.D. Bansal, Director General CGC said that In this camp students of various colleges has participated, from which students of CGC has excelled with their hard work .
