The Pulse Polio Campaign in the district from 21 September to 23 September.

Mohali 16th September:-  100 percent target for immunization of 0 to 5 year Childs to be completed under Pulse Polio Campaign being run in the district from 21 September to 23 September, so that complete immunization of every new born child could be ensured. This was stated by Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonamdeep kaur while he she was presiding over a meeting with various task force teams & giving directions to the officers of health department, for successful completion of Pulse Polio Campaign. She said that help from Panchayats & Social working organisations could be sought for the same so that 100 percent immunization of every new born child could be ensured.

 Addressing the meeting Civil Surgeon Dr. Neelam Bhardwaj stated that relevant arrangements for the campaign have been ensured. She said that 1121 task force teams have been formed for ensuring immunization of 1 lacs 37 thousand 827 Childs in the district. She further said that there are 2 lacs 98 thousands 206 households in the district and 1018 task force teams have been formed for the immunization program. Besides this, 67 mobile teams & 36 transit teams have also been formed. Dr.  Rita Bhardwaj, District Vaccination officer who is also nodal officer for the Polio Campaign said that for successful completion of the campaign help from Anganwari workers will also be sought. She said that total 18 Transit Booths at Kharar Main Bus Stand, Local Bus Stand, Kalka Chowk near Big Bazar, Mubarikpur Bus Stand, Bus Stand Dera Bassi, Civil Hospital Dera Bassi, Lalru Mandi Bus Stand, Toll Plaza Dappar, Banur BArrier, Verka Chowk Mohali, Bus Stand Mohali, Civil Hospital Mohali, Bus Stand Kurali, Railway Station Kurali and Balongi Bus Stands, will be formed. She said that besides task force teams 119 supervisors will also be deputed for resource management of the task force teams. During the meeting SP Industries Sh. Sarabjit Singh Pandher, District Family welfare officer Dr. Jagpal Singh BAsi, SMO Dr. Adesh KAng, SMO Dera Bassi Dr. S K Mittal, SMO Lalru Dr. Daler Singh Multani, SMO Gharuan Dr. Gurcharan Singh, SMO Dhakoli Dr. Sunita Sharma,SMO Kurali Dr. MAhinder Singh, SMO Boothgarh Dr. Dalbir Kaur, SMO Banur Dr. Usha Singla, SMO Kharar Dr. Surinder Singh, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Gurdeep Singh Chahal Rotary Club Dera Bassi and DPM Kshitij Seema  & other representatives of various departments were present.
