Chandigarh 17th September:- Now this time Municipal Corporation Chandigarh is going to hold Diwali Mela 2014 on its own. A detailed discussion in this regard took place today in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Anoop Sunny Gill and attended by Saurabh Joshi, Sunil Bhatia, Additional Commissioner, N.P. Sharma, Superintending Engineer, B&R and all concerned officers.
The committee discussed about the blue print regarding installation of stalls and amusement park etc. The committee planned to install approximately 100 stalls including food stalls and different area for amusement park. The members were of the view that this time a talent hunt will be organized in the main stage in the mela ground and cultural programmes will be held by calling different artists from North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC).
