Online Channel For Women ‘WTV India’ Launches

By 1 2 1 News Reporter

Chandigarh 02nd June:--- A first of its kind online channel 'WTV India' for women in India with an intent to lend a voice to their unheard stories was launched today at UT Guest House Chandigarh. The channel is By the women, for the women. An initiative to bring forward all the achievements and grievances of women. The achievements which were hidden till now from the world. The grievances which were deep holing their hearts. WTV India is an endeavor to give those a lease for life, a ray of hope. Piyoosha Sharma, Suneeta Dhariwal and Manisha are the honorary directors of this channel, who have been rigoursly working on the development of the channel for the past few months.

Chandigarh based marketing professional Piyoosha Sharma commented, that they will engage experts from all over the country, like media persons, doctors and lawyers, who will lend their expertise by providing these women professional guidance. I have given my soul to WTV India. Although it's a non-profit organisation but the efforts put in by all the directors are as equivalent to what it is required for a corporate entity. I wish it achieves new heights of success.

Working for women in the villages of Haryana, social activist Suneeta Dhariwal told the media, that she always desired to do something big for women. Deep into the streets of those unknown villages, whenever I used to see ladies in distress, my heart used to shrink. Those grief-stricken faces motivated me to start WTV India. Today, it's a proud moment for me to start an online channel specifically catering to women. I am actually fulfilling my inner crave and bringing a smile even to a single women would make my mission successful.

Experienced journalist Manisha feels that there's always a big hindrance for a common woman to speak out loud. Either social or personal. And women have actually so much to speak about. They have a long bucket list of achievements, but they don't have the medium. I joined hands with WTV India to help these women by providing a platform where their identity, their work will speak for themselves.

Spreading their wings all over the country, WTV India has managed to set up its large network in Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore. In a short span of 4 months, it has successfully registered over 300 members. WTV India will bring to light all the success sagas and grief-stricken stories of women through news, documentary films and chat shows on the portal. The members will work voluntarily by collecting and bringing up these stories.
