Mohali 19th May:-- A new look will be provided to village Balongi in coming days and the development will be done on the same pattern of SAS Nagar city. Enough funds will be made available or the same. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu while he was non-formally addressing the press during his visit to village Balongi to review the development works like renovation of roads & drainage arrangement, to be done in the village.
Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the development work of village Balongi will be done on first priority and proper drainage arrangement will be provided in the village. He said that Executive Engineer Panchayti Raj & BDPO has been directed in this regard to prepare a plan & submit the report within one week, so that the work could be initiated in this regard. He further said that directions have been issued regarding renovation of both the ponds in the village. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that approximate Rs. 15 lacs will be spent for the same. During the visit Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu meet the villagers & discussed about their problems & also discussed with them about the drainage works & explained them about the development works to be done. He appealed to the Panchayat of all nearby villages to join hands for the development works & take this initiative as a common goal. He directed the village panchayat to form the youth clubs & make them responsible as a stake holder so that the development works in the village could be done & the village could be made as a model village. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that the development works will be monitored in person by Additional Deputy Commissioner Puneet Goel. He appealed the villagers to participate willingly towards village development. Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu said that renovation of all the ponds falling under entire subdivisions will be done & proper plantation around them will be done.
