Shemrock School Organise Inter-school declamation contest

Mohali 19th May:--  Shemrock Sen. Sec.  School organised an inter-school declamation contest at its campus.  22 schools of the tricity participated in this contest . The two topics for the declamation were we have not inherited this earth from our ancestors but borrowed it from our children and Intelligence & character are the goals of true education.

Ebrahm Hassan Sofi of Yadvindra Public School got the first prize, Shaurya of St. Joseph Sen. Sec. School Sec 44 stood second & Aditya  Pratap of Shemrock School Mohali stood third in this Declamation Contest. Tanvir Singh of Shivalik Public School Mohali and Siona Arora of Delhi Public School, Sec-40 bagged the first & second Consolation prizes respectively. Another award for good performance was shared by Ojaswin Chaudharyof Saupin School Sec.22, Sanya Behl of Manav Mangal Smart school Mohali, Navya of AKSIP School 41,Ramadeep Singh of St.Soldier Convent School Mohali & Akshay Gautam of Ryan International School Chandigarh.  

While Speaking at the moment Principal, Shemrock School, S K Sharma said that education must enable students  to become more efficient and  must train them quick, resolute and effective thinking. Educational goals of developing intelligence articulate character strengths, Creativity, ingenuity, optimism, industry, diligence, and perseverance which can be gained by participating in different competitions.  According to him declamation is a fantastic speaking event to improve public speaking prowess. It provides opportunity for budding youth to show their hidden talent.
