New Kitchen & Lounge 'Rustic Door', Is a Fusion of Fine & Casual Dining

Chandigarh 26th March:-- For foodies of tri-city the eating out scene offers many options: there is fast food, pub food, multi cuisine et al but a new outlet – Rustic Door, which announced its opening in Chandigarh at Sector 10 is set to take the Café concept to another level, by establishing an authentic ‘Kitchen Lounge & Bar’.

 

The décor and ambience of ‘Rustic Door’ is captivating. There is an element of country life which has been blended very well with modern furniture and appealing arte-facts. The interiors have been done by the duo of Ms. Preet Thind and Ms. Ameena Bhaike who have focused on the concept of deconstructed furniture, where in ‘packing material’ has been used strategically to give a nice look to seats, tables and even the bar. Eclectic lamps of different hues and colours are a major attraction. The uniqueness of ‘Rustic Door’ does not end in its interiors. Its cuisine concept too is different. Rustic Door is genuinely focused on Italian fare and one’s favourite Pizza or Pasta will come from an authentic Italian kitchen. The outlet’s Pasta and Pizza bread will be made in house fresh each day. What’s more, ‘Rustic Door’ will also introduce Molecular Gastronomy to its menu. All this has been possible due to Chef Nishant Kumar who has been flown in, straight from the Maldives, to head Rustic Door’s Kitchen. In the Maldives Nishant, has worked with Vivanta by Taj Coral Reef as Demi Chef and a 7 Star Property -- Six Senses Resort n Spas, as Chef-de-Parties. Nishant holds a 3 Year Degree in Chef Management from Academy of Culinary Education, Goa and has trained under Michelin Star Chefs.

 

Ms. Ameena Bhaike, the Entrepreneur who has established the outlet, said that “Rustic Door will fill the gap between a Café and a full scale restaurant. We have introduced the Kitchen & Lounge concept, with a focus on ‘Italian’ & a Chef specializing in the same. It is going to serve not only fast meals but will also cater to main course food like a full-fledged restaurant. She added that Rustic Door offers a treat for your palette. There are Snacks, Soups, Salads, Starters, more than seven types of pastas, dozens of Pizzas, main course dishes, Desserts and refreshments. Mouth watering recipes like Mushroom Cappuccino, Zesty Vietnamese Chicken Salad, Mezze Platter with grilled Pita, Spaghetti Aglio et Olio, and Bacon Burrito have been put together. The Indian taste has been catered to even in Italian selections. Yes along with Margarita there is also be a Masala Margarita. Alongside a Smoked chicken Pizza exists a Masala Tikka Pizza. Their signature Pizza is the four cheese Pizza and its Indian flavor will be available on order. Chef Kumar will exploit his prowess in Molecular Gastronomy by soon introducing through art Mango Caviar, Red Wine Caviar, Balsamic Caviar et al.
