Chandigarh 28th January:-- A delegation of 24 members of various committees from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai under the leadership of Dr. Ram Barot, Chairman, improvements committee today held a meeting with Harphool Chander Kalyan, Mayor, and V P Singh, IAS, Commissioner and other officials of MC, Chandigarh. Others who were present on the occasion were among Rajiv Gupta, Joint Commissioner, Mukesh Anand, SE B&R and other officers of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
Mayor welcomed the delegation at committee room, and the Commissioner gave brief introduction regarding various projects & functions of the Corporation, water supply, gardens & Green Belts, urban planning and architecture etc.
Dr. Ram Barot said that the study tour also aims to study the best practices of Municipal Corporation like infrastructure development, planning, Water supply system, Sewerage Treatment, Sanitation, maintenance of Green spaces and Solid Management etc. The delegation also visited Rose Garden, various other gardens and sukhna lake etc.
