Coordination Committee Decides To Hold Week Long Dharnas In Month Of February

Chandigarh 29th January:----To discuss about the  indefinite Dharans going to be held on February 17th  more than one dozen unions today took part in meeting of coordination committee.

During the meeting the members of coordination committee discuss the pending demands of the employees including regularization of  the services of Daily wages and work charge worker who are working since 20-25 years, implementation of EPF, ESI and Pension scheme to them, offer of appointment to the next kin of deceased employees by scrapping 5 per cent ceiling, filling up the vacant post lying vacant in all the departments, scrapping of privatization / corporatization of  Govt. and Semi-Govt. Department and abolish of contract system and out sourcing, allotment of flats to all the Employees under UT Employees self financing  housing scheme 2008, providing uniform, to all class three field staff besides implementation of the other demands.

The union leaders also criticize the Chandigarh Administration for its negative attitude towards demands decided to hold rallies, gate meetings, Dharnas before various officers by the affiliated units further decided to organize 1 week regular dharna w.e.f. 17.02.2014 to 21.02.2014 at bridge market sector -17, Chandigarh and warn that if the demands of the employees will not be implemented through proper negotiation with the coordination committee then committee will intensify its agitation and resort direct action of agitation.
